COREY'S STORY
A relationship with golf that started early—and never really left.
Corey Moore's connection to golf began in Battle Creek, Michigan, where summers included hitting golf balls against the outside wall of his grandfather's garage. His grandfather introduced him not only to the game, but to a community of Black golfers who helped shape Corey's early relationship with golf.
Competition followed quickly. Corey played his first tournament at age nine, became a city champion at ten, won youth club championships through his early teens, and later captained his high-school golf team in Virginia, qualifying for the state tournament.
Life eventually took him through culinary arts and luxury hospitality, years of caddying, engineering design in the energy industry, and aerospace work connected to the Artemis lunar spacesuit program. Golf remained a constant thread.
Now, Corey is returning to competitive amateur golf with a new perspective: preparation, precision, experience—and an appreciation for the journey itself.
